VEX IQ Robotics Classes

Hands-on immersive robotics classes for students in kindergarten through 7th grade.

  • VEX IQ is a robotics platform specially designed for young minds. At Robolabs, we teach VEX IQ in an interactive and dynamic way. Students learn important mechanical and programming concepts in every class through professionally crafted lessons consisting of theory, building, and programming. Students also learn about the engineering process, proper documentation, and principles of design.

VEX VRC Classes

VEX Robotics Competition program taught by World Championship winners! For students in 8th through 12th grade.

  • VEX V5 is the gold standard of educational robotics systems. At Robolabs we follow a team-based approach to VEX Robotics Competition from the get-go. Students join a team upon signing up. Learn from the best in an award-winning environment and a supporting knowledgeable community.

FLL FIRST LEGO Robotics

  • Robolabs offers three robotics programs at each center: VEX IQ, FIRST LEGO League (FLL), and VEX V5. Each program is designed to introduce and deepen students' understanding of mechanical design, engineering principles, and programming.

    • VEX IQ: Ideal for elementary and middle school students. Emphasizes foundational building and introduces students to robotics hardware and programming through engaging hands-on activities.

    • FLL: Also for elementary and middle school students. Focuses on software and coding through a user-friendly programming environment.

    • VEX V5: Designed for middle and high school students using metal parts and advanced hardware. Encourages deeper exploration into mechanical systems, sensors, and competition-grade robotics skills.

  • VEX IQ / FLL

    • One-Time Program Registration Fee: $100 (lifetime access)

    • Monthly Tuition: $350 (includes one weekly class session)

    • For competition students:

      • Annual Tournament & Team Registration Fee: $375
        (Covers all regional tournaments from September to April)

      • Additional fees may apply if teams qualify for:

    To join a VEX IQ competition team, students must complete:

    • One full year of core robotics training at Robolabs

    • 65+ robotics worksheets

    • Robot Workbooks at four levels: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Very Hard

    VRC
    All new VRC students begin with a ~3-month training period where they:

    • Build and program two individual robots (teleoperated + autonomous)

    • Learn best practices in mechanical design and coding
      Once training is complete, students progress to more advanced roles within their team, focusing on competition robot development.

    • Season Duration: May – April

    • New Challenge Release: First week of May each year

    • Build & Design Phase: May – August

    • Tournament Season: September – April

    • Post-Tournament Support: Ongoing coaching based on performance and goals
